中文摘要： 公共娱乐空间是市民聚集在一起进行某种文化休闲活动的公共空间，是城市生活形态和文化习俗的重要组成部分，随着社会的演进和生活方式的变迁而不断更替。本课题以上海留存的众多近代公共文化娱乐类建筑为研究对象，结合历史建筑的调研、测绘和历史图像、文字资料的收集整理，梳理其源流、分类、型制，并从都市和建筑人类学的视角，分析公共娱乐活动的习俗变迁与建筑型制的内在关联、探讨城市公共娱乐方式的变化与建筑功能在当代转换和再利用的可能性，并结合上海近代公共娱乐建筑保护与改造的案例，探讨这一类建筑保护和改造再利用的策略。近代上海娱乐建筑的发展和转型，参与都市文化的建构，是上海独特现代性的见证。近代娱乐空间（建筑）在当代的转型研究，重在通过其保护改和再利用，延续文化习俗、生活方式变化与保存物质空间的互动。在当前我国城市建设的转型期和重点推进文化建设的形势下，对延续城市历史脉络、促进塑造有特色的地方文化产生积极作用。

英文摘要： Public entertainment architectural space, being a kind of public space where common people gather and make cultural, recreational activities, is an important constitution and embodiment of life styles, customs and culture, which will transform along with the revolution of the society and the changing of life styles. In modern times Shanghai, there established a great number of entertainment architecture. The transition of entertainment architecture was interwoven with the development of urban culture in Shanghai and played an important role of Shanghai's Modernity. Taking some kind of existing entertainment architecture as an object, this research analyzes their origin, typologies, design characters of different types and their evolution process. Further more, from the perspective of view of architectural and urban anthropology, this research tries to examine the internal interactive relationships between the changing of entertainment activities, local customs and transformation of architectural typology of entertainment buildings in Modern Shanghai, and to explore the possibility of contemporary re-use of the old building after the entertainment changed and the function transformed. Also through case studies, the research tries to inquire to the strategies of preservation and renovation of the entertainment arc
